Ingredients
- 14 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup pitted dates, chopped
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 cups crispy rice cereal (such as Rice Krispies®)
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar (or as needed)

Directions
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped dates and sugar, cooking and stirring continuously until the mixture becomes thick and golden brown (about 10–15 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in the crispy rice cereal and chopped pecans until well combined.
- Let the mixture cool slightly until it is safe to handle (about 5–10 minutes).
- Shape the mixture into small balls using your hands.
- Place confectioners’ sugar in a resealable plastic bag, add the balls, and gently shake until evenly coated.
